New Anti-Doping Code, New Standards — Changes Coming into Force on 1 January 2027

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has published the final English versions of the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards, which will come into force on 1 January 2027 and will provide the legal and procedural framework for the global anti-doping system.

To support a smooth transition to the new framework, WADA has also prepared explanatory materials, presentations, pre-recorded webinars and video tutorials. These resources will help stakeholders understand the key changes introduced by the 2027 Code and International Standards and prepare to fulfil their respective obligations.

It is particularly important that athletes, sports federations, athlete support personnel and professionals involved in anti-doping activities familiarize themselves with the new requirements in advance.
