Head of GADCEA Participates in High-Level Council of Europe Meetings

From 2 to 4 September 2026, Professor Khatuna Saganelidze, Head of the Georgian Anti-Doping Control and Education Agency (GADCEA), participated as a member of the Georgian delegation in high-level meetings held in Strasbourg within the framework of the Council of Europe:

• The 72nd meeting of the European Committee for the World Anti-Doping Agency (CAHAMA);

• The 63rd meeting of the Monitoring Group of the Anti-Doping Convention (T-DO).

The discussions focused on the current and future priorities of the World Anti-Doping Programme, the national implementation of the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards, coordinated cooperation among European countries, developments in education and science, and the protection of clean sport and integrity in sport.

Georgia’s participation in these meetings is important for strengthening cooperation with European anti-doping bodies, ensuring the country’s active engagement in international processes, and developing a a modern, independent national anti-doping system in Georgia that complies with international standards.
